Just as a healthy lifestyle, Active Kitchen is made up of 2 key parts:
Part 1: Get Cooking
A key focus of our Active Kitchen sessions is the cooking activities. With support and the use of age-appropriate tools and techniques, the young people will prepare and cook a variety of healthy meals, which they can eat during the session or take home. Children will also take home a recipe card, outlining the step-by-step method so they can recreate the dish at home.
Part 2: Get Active
We know being fit and active is essential to a healthy lifestyle, during Active Kitchen sessions, the young people will learn about the benefits of physical activity and take part in a variety of fun active sessions such as team games, sports, invasion games and dance.
