We are looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals, who are passionate about working with and supporting children to grow.  Full training is provided, you don't need to be a trained chef or teacher but a LOVE for children and interest in food is a must!

Starting salary £21,450 (Pro rata) 

Salary negotiable depending on experience

Part time (16 hours +) /Hours negotiable. Option for term time only

Our workshop leaders are enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about introducing children to real food and real cooking. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and deliver our much love cooking classes to children and families within schools and community venues in Consett and surrounding areas.

Main duties and responsibilities:  

· To deliver our creative cooking workshops 

· To prepare, set up and oversee imaginative cooking and craft activities 

· Provide safe, simulating environments for all.

· General cleaning duties, including set up and clean down after each session. 

· Assist with marketing and promotion of activities offered by Creative Kitchen 

· Supporting other leaders as and when required.  

We are looking for:

· Experience working with children and young adults. (You must LOVE children!)

· Awareness & understanding of the National Curriculum and EYFS Framework (Desirable)

· Awareness of current healthy eating guidelines. (Desirable)

· Experience working with children and young people with SEND. (Desirable)

· Interest in food and cooking. 

· Able to act on own initiative. 

· Self-motivated 

· Creative 

· Organised  

· Qualified level 2 Food hygiene certified or willingness to undertake.* 

· Safeguard trained. *

· Allergy awareness trained or willingness to undertake * 

· Enhanced DBS or willingness to undertake 

· First Aid trained or willingness to undertake*

* * Full training and support provided to complete these.    

Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates must be 18 years and over. Workshop leaders are required to have a full driving licence and access their own vehicle as you will be required to travel to local sites.
